Stephanie Hayes Obituary

Mrs. Stephanie "Muttie" Stewart Hayes departed this life on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the age of 60. She was hospitalized at Slidell Memorial Hospital for several months before she was called on home. She was the beloved wife of Robert Lee Hayes Sr. She was the daughter of the late Betty Ann Stewart and Calvin Broaden. She grew up in the uptown New Orleans area here in Louisiana. She was a graduate of Booker T. Washington High School. Mrs. Stephanie Hayes worked as a sitter-caregiver for many years. She was a very kind and loving person who was loved by many. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she had a huge heart and helped out many. In her spare time, she enjoyed talking and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, the late Gloria Laiche-Sterling, her 2 brothers, Michael and Darries Stewart. Her Beautiful life will be forever cherished in the lives of her 2 children, Rochynique Hayes and Robert Hayes Jr. and 1 stepson Rozzell Hayes. Mrs. Stephanie Hayes is the sister of Sharon Stewart, Denise Stewart, Phebe Stewart, Dionne Stewart, Laverne Harris, Linda Lacoste, Anthony Stewart and Wesley Broaden. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and a Host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends of the family. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service at D. W. Rhodes Chapel, 3933 Washington Ave., on Saturday May 6, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.; Visitation begins at 9:00 a.m.; Interment: Holt Cemetery: Arrangements by D. W.
