Stephanie Marie Hunt, passed away on July 29, 2025, in Woodhaven, Michigan, at the age of 71. Born on March 28, 1954, in Trenton, Michigan, Stephanie was a vibrant and feisty spirit who brought joy and life to everyone she encountered; she was sweet as pie.

She was a long-time resident of Applewood, where her warm presence made her a beloved member of the community. Stephanie’s career as a baker for various food service companies showcased not only her baking and cooking talents but also her ability to nourish those around her with both food and kindness. She will be deeply missed by the entire Applewood community, reflecting the indelible mark she left on all with whom she shared her life.

In her personal life, Stephanie was a wife to her husband, Patrick, a loving mother to her sons, Sean Hunt (Kim) and Daniel (Deanna) Sutherby and a proud grandma to Aiden Sutherby and Mason Sutherby . She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, often indulging in her hobbies of making bracelets, coloring, and collecting pens. Her creative spirit and infectious laughter will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Stella Sutherby, who instilled in her the values and warmth that she carried throughout her life. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate with those who had the privilege of knowing her. The world is a little dimmer without her light, but her memory will remain bright in the hearts of many.  There will be a private memorial service.  Memorial contributions may be made as the donor chooses.
