Southbridge: Stephanie (Domijan) Lapierre, 85, of Southbridge, Massachusetts, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11th, in the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester after a long illness.

Her husband of 59 years, Roger H. Lapierre, passed away in 2017. Her son, Michael A. Lapierre, passed away in 2015. She leaves her son, Kenneth J. Lapierre and his wife, Deborah, of Phoenix, AZ; her brother, Richard Domijan of Mechanicsburg, PA; her four grandchildren, Robert Lapierre and Nicholas Lapierre, both of Bowling Green, KY, Cheryl Lapierre and her longtime companion, Brock Lowery, of Paducah, KY, and Lindsay Breckenridge of Stoughton, MA; and her six great grandchildren, Cole Kubilis, Blake Breckenridge, Delylah Breckenridge, Jayla Lowery, Jaylee Lapierre and Leslie Lapierre. Stephanie was born and raised in Southbridge, the daughter of the late Stephen S. and Catherine M. (Liro) Domijan.

She was a proud graduate of Mary E. Wells High School where she excelled academically as a member of the National Honor Society, was active in various clubs, as well as having had a talent for playing tennis and musically as a pianist and organist.

Stephanie was the office manager of Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge, MA for over 20 years, retiring many years ago. She previously worked as a bookkeeper for her uncle, Stephen Liro's, accounting office, as well as having worked at the American Optical in Southbridge.

Stephanie was very fond of animals of all kinds and had a special love for her cats. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time at the Jacob Edward's Library in Southbridge. She enjoyed playing Cribbage and a good competitive game of Scrabble. She also enjoyed quilting and was a great cook. Stephanie also loved floral and vegetable gardening. She enjoyed many years with her family at their summer camp on Stiles Reservoir in Leicester.

Stephanie was a fiercely independent and strong woman whose family was of most importance. She loved her family reunions and had a deep connection and appreciation for her Polish heritage. She was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15th, from the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge, with a Mass at 11:00am in St. Mary's Church of the St. John Paul II Parish, 263 Hamilton St., Southbridge. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig's Cemetery, Southbridge. A calling hour in the funeral home will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15th, from 9:30 to 10:30am, prior to the Mass.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the St. John Paul II Food Pantry, 279 Hamilton St., Southbridge, MA 01550.
