Stephanie Plaice

Stephanie Plaice was born Stephanie Elizabeth Nelson in Topeka, Kansas on August 30, 1991, to Mark "Doc" Nelson and Vicki Walleck-Yates. On Monday, August 19, 2024, Stephanie entered eternity and was welcomed into the presence of the Christ she so dearly loved.
Stephanie grew up in the Flint Hills in Eskridge, Kansas with her mother, stepfather Terry Yates and sister Myla Yates. She graduated from Mission Valley High School in 2009 and went on to become a nurse. The title that she cherished most was Mom to her triplets, Moorley, Eisley and Jude. She Married Kyle Plaice in 2020 and they added a daughter Pepper who is also in heaven. Stephanie had a joy about her that she could not contain. It radiated from her big, beautiful eyes and it flowed out as she would frequently burst into song. Her beautiful voice will be missed. Stephanie's love was evidenced in her gentle touch and eagerness to pray with others. She could spot needy and hurting people wherever she went and always took the time to love them. Stephanie was witty and spontaneous, she was brilliant and talented as a writer, artist and musician. She was a lover of Broadway musicals and animated movies and knew the songs by heart. She gave her life to Jesus Christ at summer camp as a child and became a passionate follower of His, never ashamed to speak His name.
She is survived by her husband Kyle; children, Moorley, Eisley and Jude; parents, Doc (Charmine) and Vicki; and sisters, Myla Yates and Crystal Baxter-Zick.
A memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Victory City Church, 2622 SE 6th Avenue, Topeka KS 66607.
