Stephanie DeeAnn Pool was born in Dallas, TX on May 21, 1971. She attended elementary, middle and high school in Cushing and graduated from Cushing High School in 1989. Stephanie attended Oklahoma State University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in 1993. After a brief move to Hawaii, Stephanie moved back to Oklahoma and soon found employment in Oklahoma City. It was there she met William Robert Pool III (Bill) on April 23, 1995. They were engaged on July 4th, 1995 and married on September 2nd, 1995. While living in Oklahoma City, the couple became a family of three on January 14th, 1997 with the arrival of their daughter Abigail DeeAnn Pool (Abbie). Stephanie and her family moved to Cushing in January, 2000 and the following year on September 20th, 2001 William Robert Pool IV (Rob) balanced the family. Stephanie was made a "Nonna" on January 6th, 2024 with the arrival of Charlotte Louise Pool (Charlie). Stephanie and Bill continued to reside in Cushing until she joined our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025. Stephanie was 54 years old.
The love Stephanie had for her family knew no limit. Her faith was unshakable and throughout all of life's struggles and tribulations she leaned on the word of God. Stephanie loved the Lord and inspired her family with her steadfast belief, demonstrated love and endless commitment. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She truly was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.
In addition to tirelessly supporting her family at home, Stephanie was also a consummate professional. She cut her teeth working for the Oklahoma Independent Petroleum Association, Oklahoma Safety Counsel, and Environmental & Safety Support Group while living in Oklahoma City. After moving to Cushing, to accommodate her young family she worked at the Golf Club at Cimarron Trails. After just a couple of years, Stephanie's ambition inspired her to originate, market, design, and publish her own magazine - "You". Distribution grew, but her talents were soon noticed and was recruited by Central Technology Center in July, 2005. During her time with Central Technology Center, she received multiple accolades over the years - most recently being awarded the Oklahoma School Public Relations Association (OKSPRA) Professional of the Year for 2025. Stephanie anticipated representing Oklahoma at the National Convention in Washington, D.C. later this July. She was the Director of Marketing for Central Technology Center.
Preceded in death by her grandparents and mother-in-law. She is survived by her husband Bill Pool, III. of the home, her children: Abbie Pool of Oklahoma City, OK and Rob Pool of Cushing, OK; her grandchild: Charlie Pool; her parents Don and Mary Ann Ethridge of Cushing, OK; her sister and brother-in-law Lori and Chad Williams of Cushing, OK; her brother and sister-in-law Brad and Amy Ethridge of Cushing Oklahoma; her father-in-law Bill Pool, Jr. of Hobart, OK; her brother-in-law Mike Chandler of Norman, OK; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Donnie and Terese Strain of Hobart, OK; her sister-in-law Lori Parker of Hobart, OK; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Brad and Liz Ellis of Hobart, OK; extended family Joe and Sharon Marion of Yukon, OK and 46 nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home. A Celebration of Stephanie's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at the First Baptist Church, 2238 E. Main, Cushing, OK 74023, with Pastor Michael Martin officiating.
