Stephanie Sylvester Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Day Funeral Service - Gahanna on Jan. 13, 2026.
Stephanie Marie Sylvester, 41, of Columbus, passed away suddenly Thursday, January 1, 2026.

Stephanie had a huge heart and capacity for love; most notably for her children, Dionna, Kylen, Shane, Zayden and two children who held a unique and cherished place in her heart. She loved them fiercely and continuously fought to give them the best she could. No matter where she was, her thoughts were with them and how to be better for them. She made sure they always knew that her love for them was unconditional and endless and that her loyalty was with them. Her greatest desire was to be with her children, and she never stopped fighting for that. They will always remember her hugs, her strength, and her bravery in the face of struggle.

She is also survived by her mother, Christina Marie Goble; sisters, Sierra Sylvester and Sabrina Norman; niece, Layla, and nephews, Ty-Michael and Abram; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Octavia, and Greyson. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Douglas Sylvester, and baby brother, Michael Sylvester.

Stephanie had a quiet resilience and a kind heart, even when she was struggling. She cared deeply for others and was gentler and more sensitive than most ever saw. She was a protector, a friend, and a fighter for her family. She loved to joke and had a great sense of humor. Stephanie endured many battles in her short time, but, she fought them with the strength and courage that most take a lifetime to develop.

Stephanie believed in God; she believed in His plan for her life and had hope in that. Her life here may have been cut short, but we hold onto the hope of being reunited with her, in perfect health and happiness in heaven someday. Her memory will live on in her family and with those who love her. We will never forget who you are and will honor your heart, always. Until we meet again.
