Stephanie Fish Thompson, born on March 31, 1967, departed this life on December 6, 2025. Her joyous presence, compassionate spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Stephanie lived a life full of enthusiasm, with a particular passion for all things Disney. Whether it was trading Disney pins or planning memorable family trips, her vibrant energy was infectious. She loved camping and traveling with her family, creating precious memories that will be cherished forever.
Stephanie, better known as Mrs. Thompson by her students and colleagues, was a beloved teacher for nearly 30 years. She taught a range of ages from kindergarten through middle school in the St. Louis Public School District and the Hazelwood School District. Her passion for education lives on through the hundreds of students whose lives she touched throughout career.
Stephanie is survived by her beloved husband, Kevin Thompson; her son, Tyler (Madeline Bruce) Thompson; and her two daughters, Rachel (Reuben) Kern and Izzy Thompson (Addison Wicks). She was a devoted daughter to her mother, Bobbie Fish, and was a caring sister to Jerry Fish. Stephanie's family expanded to include four beloved grand-dogs: Darwin Thompson, Marshall Thompson, Copper Thompson, and Toby Kern. Alongside her immediate family, she leaves behind a host of other family members and friends whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Fish Sr., whose love and guidance shaped the remarkable woman she became.
A visitation to celebrate Stephanie's life will be held on December 13, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri. A funeral service will follow at the same location, commencing at 1:30 PM.
Stephanie’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and a profound dedication to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
