Stephanie "Suzie" Vales-Ryan, born on July 15, 1972, in Jackson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 53.
Suzie was a dedicated marketing executive with WNWS Newstalk 101.5, where she demonstrated her commitment to excellence and creativity in her professional endeavors.
A proud graduate of Bolivar Central High School, Suzie carried her passion for life and her family throughout her journey. She was known for her immense capacity to care for others, always willing to help anyone in need. Suzie found joy in her role as a grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her four beloved grandchildren: Emma Elick, Liam and Ezra Naylor, and Carter Grissom.
Her faith also played a significant role in her life; she attended Love & Truth Church Jackson Campus, where she connected with her community and shared her love for God. Suzie's warm and caring personality touched many lives, leaving behind countless memories of love and kindness.
Suzie's family includes her husband, William “Eric” Whiteaker; her daughter, Julia Naylor, and son-in-law David “Casey” Naylor; her son, Nicholas Daniel "Nick" Ryan; her daughter, Shelby Whiteaker; her mother, Sue Fountaine; her brother, Steven Vales; and her sister, Kim Weir, along with her husband Randy Weir. They will forever cherish the memories and love shared with her.
A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Arrington Funeral Directors with Rev. Chris Smith officiating.
As family and friends celebrate her life, they will honor a remarkable woman who made an indelible impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
