Stephanie Vasquez Obituary
Stephanie was born March 25, 1982, to Reymundo and Delfina Vega in Lubbock, TX, and grew up in Shallowater. Before graduating from Estacado High School in 2000, Stephanie became a loving mother to Yazmeane Nichole Pena in 1997. Yazmeane was her pride and joy, always cheering her on through thick and thin, and being her 'little nurse Yazzi'. With a love for helping sick people, she worked as a nurse for 14 years, providing the best care any patient could ask for. She enjoyed dancing, specifically Folklorico and Zumba, and had a passion for staying fit and healthy with the occasional 'sweet runs'. Jacks was always by her side serving as the sweetest doggie soulmate for 14 years. She was married to Leonard Vasquez for 16 years and will forever live in his heart. Leonard always made sure his wife and Yazmeane were taken care of in every way possible. Lastly and most importantly, Stephanie was a child of God, never losing her faith and finding her strength in Him.
Stephanie is survived by her daughter, Yazmeane Nichole Pena; mother, Delfina Vega; husband, Leonard Vasquez; siblings, David Hiracheta, Teresa Hiracheta-Rodriguez (David); and Michael Anthony Hiracheta (Rita).
She is preceded in death by her father, Reymundo Vega; brother, Robert Hiracheta; sister-in-law, Julie Hiracheta; and dog, Jacks.
