Stephen Lee Alexander, age 74, of Campbellsburg, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at Pam Health & Rehab in New Albany. Born October 26, 1950 in Bedford, he was the son of the late Charles "Bodge" Nolan Alexander and Viola "Fay" (Thixton) Alexander. On January 30, 1988, he married Linda (Carter) Alexander who survives.
Steve was previously employed at Kimball of Borden, The Salem Leader, and West Washington School Corporation; he was a member of Westview Christian Church.
He was a very friendly person, never meeting a stranger; he loved Notre Dame football, his hostas, and was a Civil War buff. He loved his rescue dog, Benji, and The Beatles.
Steve is survived by his wife, Linda; 3 children: Keri Alexander Keehn (Joey), Leah Ewen, and Eric Alexander (Kristie); 1 brother: Hubert Alexander; and 6 grandchildren: Lindsey Alexander, Evan Alexander, Kenzea Fogg, Karson Alexander, Rosemary Serianni, and Mason Burgess; 1 nephew: Tom Voyles (Barb); and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles "Bodge" and Viola "Fay" Alexander; 1 sister: Shirley Voyles; and 1 nephew: Donnie Voyles.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Salem Chapel with Bro. George Browning officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
