Stephen George Amsinger Sr., 70, passed away peacefully on July 22nd at Ellis Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Known for his captivating storytelling, passion for books and music, and deep interest in history and sports, Stephen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he cherished most.
A proud native of St. Louis, Missouri, Stephen met the love of his life, Debra, in high school. The two married in 1976 and shared 49 wonderful years together. A dedicated husband and father, Stephen worked as a welder to support his growing family, instilling in his children the values of hard work, perseverance, and family unity.
Stephen had a remarkable gift for bringing people together. Whether through a backyard barbecue or a lively gathering, he created joyful memories that will live on in the hearts of his loved ones. Above all, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his family.
Stephen is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Amsinger, and their seven children: Joseph Amsinger, Gregory (Erica) Amsinger, Richard (Carolyn) Amsinger, Daniel (Courtney) Amsinger, Stephen Amsinger Jr., David Amsinger, and Susan Amsinger. He was a proud grandfather to ten grandchildren: Vanessa, London, David, Stephen, Sophia, Avellina, Rosie, Jack, Suede, and Lily Amsinger.
Special thanks to Dr.Ford, Dr.Madigan, RN Christopher for their excellent care of him in his final days.
In honor of Stephen's memory, donations may be made to The Eagles Club, an organization close to his heart.
Stephen's memory will be cherished forever by all who knew him.
