Stephen Bachand Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Daniel T Morrill Funeral Home - Southbridge on Jan. 4, 2023.
Rochdale: Stephen "Quiet Wolf" Bachand Sr., 67, made his journey to the Spirit World on January 2, 2023 at his home in Leicester, MA after a courageous battle with cancer.
Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a proud veteran serving as a paratrooper in the US Army 2nd of the 509th, children's book author and illustrator, Native American artisan, and member of the Nipmuck community. He was a life-long volunteer and in recent years concentrated his efforts in helping others heal, including creating the Caregiver Support Program for Pinkhippy.org. He had a passion for music, nature, animals, history, sports, and spending time with family and friends.
Family was the center of Steve's world. He is survived by his beloved wife Del-Marie Bachand; his children Stephen Bachand Jr. of Rutland and Kristi Bachand White of Charlton; grandchildren Marissa White, Griffin Bachand, and Reid Bachand; mother-in-law Lillian Chartier; brothers-in-law Brad Chartier, Raymond "RJ" Chartier and his wife Debbie; sister-in-law Lee-Ann DiAnni and her husband John Pappas; several cousins and a community of close friends he also considered family.
In lieu of flowers and in support of his favorite charity, donations can be made to: Pinkhippy.org,
PO Box 86, Quinebaug, CT 06262.
A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
"May you always fly with the eagles and run with the wolves. Until we meet again."
