Mark Bachand Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Britton-Wallace Funeral Home - Auburn on Dec. 13, 2025.
Mark S. Bachand, 67, of Worcester, passed away peacefully after a brief decline in health on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

He leaves his wife, Kim (Swanstrom) Bachand, his daughter, Heather J. Bachand, of Worcester; his brother, James Bachand and his wife Pamela, of Webster; and a niece, Tracy Bachand.

Mark was born in Worcester, son of the late Stanley R. and Josephine R. (Gwiazdowski) Bachand. He was raised and educated in Dudley, and graduated from Shepherd Hill Regional High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served his country honorably for four years. He returned home and resumed his education, and received an Associate's degree from Quinebaug Valley Community College in Danielson, CT.

Mark had a long career and recently retired as IT Specialist, a role in which his skills were put to good use at Johnson Controls.

He was a New England sports fanatic and looked forward to football season every year to cheer on his absolute favorites, the Patriots.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Operation Smile (https://www.operationsmile.org/) and/or to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate).

Services will be held privately for the Bachand family. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
