Stephen M. Baker, born on July 17, 1944, in Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at his residence on December 17, 2025. He was 81 years old.
Stephen had a distinguished career, retiring after 30 years from Ingalls Shipbuilding. He served his country honorably in the Air Force. Outside of work he was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed playing golf and supporting the local hockey teams. He was involved with Mardi Gras Carnival club for many yeas. He also enjoyed coaching his daughters at softball and supporting their many activities.
Stephen is survived by his daughters, Gretchen Roberts, Wendy Failing (Grant), and Stephenie Baker. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sibling, Leslie Baker (Petro).
Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Roy Baker II, his mother, Florence Baker, and his brother, Roy Baker III.
Visitation will be held on December 22, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. A private graveside will be held.
