Stephen Philip Boehm Age 81, of Rice Lake, WI, died Monday, January 1, 2024 in Rice Lake. He was born on April 2, 1942 in Bluffton, Ohio to Kermit and Ruby (Heldman) Boehm. Stephen graduated high school in 1960 from Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw, MI, Northwestern College in Watertown, WI, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1964 and WI Lutheran Seminary in Mequon, WI in 1965. On September 5, 1965 he was installed as Minister of Religion at Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, WI and remained there for 32 years. He taught Latin, Religion, Ancient History and was a Library Media Specialist. He also obtained a Master of Arts Degree in Audiovisual Education from UW Stout in Menomonie, WI. On June 15, 1968 he was married to Doris Dobberpuhl at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Morrison, WI. The Lord blessed this union with 4 children. He enjoyed history, music, his brother reunions and Ohio State Football. He is survived by his wife, Doris Boehm of Rice Lake; 4 children, Lisa (Steve) Dennis of Rice Lake, Michael Boehm of Fairfield, CA, Brian (Amanda) Boehm of Appleton, WI and Andrew (Stephanie) Boehm of Combined Locks, WI; 7 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; a brother, Nathan (Kay) Boehm; 3 sisters-in-law, Julaine Boehm, Diane Boehm and Janice Boehm; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Ruby Boehm; 3 brothers, David, John and Daniel Boehm. Funeral Services will be held at 11AM Thursday, January 11, 2024 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Rice Lake, Rev. Jeff Seelow officiating, with interment in Nora Cemetery in Rice Lake. Visitation will be held from 9-11AM prior to the funeral service at the church. Appleyard's Home for Funerals in Rice Lake is assisting and serving the family with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Redeemer Lutheran Church or Michigan Lutheran Seminary, Saginaw, MI. We wish to express our gratitude to Cambridge Senior Living in Rice Lake and St. Croix Hospice for their care of Stephen.
