Stephen Boone

Stephen "Steve" Boone, a lifelong resident of Metairie, LA, passed away peacefully on Thursday

February 26, 2026, at the age of 71. He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Judy Lands Boone, his loving children, Brandon, Brett and Brittany Boone, his grandson, Peyton Boone, whom he dearly loved and adored. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, David Motes (Carmen), Wendy Motes (Marc), Christopher Boone (Anya), and great-niece and nephews, Patrick and Alyssa Motes, Hannah Boone, Kimmy Boone Zubenko (Daniel), Izzy Boone Lester (Tay) and Ian Rains, and other loving relatives and friends.

Steve worked in the Petroleum and inspection industry for most of his life. He dedicated 25 years to Intertek Caleb Brett as a Regional Safety and Training Manager, where he was respected for his unwavering dedication to the petroleum and inspection industry.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Fuqua and Pauline Boone, his siblings Jeffrey Boone and William Al Motes and sister-in-law Janet Motes.

Steve had a joyful spirit and was quite a character. He loved his backyard, sitting on the patio drinking his coffee, maintaining the gardens and his mancave. One of his hobbies was owning Harley Davidson motorcycles, in which he owned over 10 in his lifetime. He loved customizing his bikes.

Most Saturdays he would ride to the Harley Davidson shop in Metairie. He loved taking bike trips and was able to attend "The World's Largest motorcycle event, Daytona Bike Week" twice. In addition, he also belonged to a small motorcycle club called "METRY" which stands for Motorcycle Enthusiasts Trying to Remain Young. Steve always enjoyed being with all of his biker friends.

He also cherished meeting his friends every week for breakfast and coffee. Steve enjoyed being involved with his wife, Judy, in all of his children's Rummel Raider Band activities. He served as an officer in the Rummel Band Booster Club. Steve loved supporting his children in all of their musical ventures. He enjoyed spending many hours of the day listening to music by Eric Clapton, ELO, Chicago, The Eagles, Huey Lewis & The News, Doobie Brothers and The Allman Brothers Band.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass in Steve's honor at St. Mary Magdalen Church,

6425 West Metairie Ave. Metairie, LA on Saturday March 21, 2026. Visitation will begin at 9:30

a.m. followed by a Mass at 10:30 a.m.

Following Mass, a Gathering will be held to celebrate Steve at his home.
