Edward Robert Wicker Sr.

Edward Robert Wicker, Sr. passed away peacefully in Metairie, Louisiana, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at the age of 77. Ed loved his family, and they were blessed to love him.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Valerie LaRosa Wicker; their two children, Edward Robert Wicker, Jr. (Tiffany) and Erin Elizabeth Metz (Chuck); and their three grandchildren: Evan, Avery, and Ayden. He is also survived by his sister Nan Marie Wicker.

Born in Queens, New York, to the late Charles and Florence Wicker, Ed graduated from St. John's University and spent most of his career in financial planning. He was a devout Catholic who attended daily mass and served others through various ministries.

Ed enjoyed traveling the world with his family, walking his dog and visiting with neighbors, and exercising daily with his gym friends. He will be remembered for his love, humor, and generous spirit.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation and Mass at L.A. Muhleisen & Son Funeral Home, 2607 Williams Blvd, Kenner, Louisiana, on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, Louisiana, where the family will hold a private ceremony.
