Stephen Boyce Obituary

Mr. Stephen Arthur Boyce, 67, of Ellijay, passed away Thursday, Nov. 7, 2024.

He was born August 29, 1957, in Ballston Spa, N.Y., to the late William and Ida Mae (Dutcher) Boyce.

He served in the U.S. Navy, retired after 25 years and continued serving his country working another 15-plus years of government service.

He enjoyed volunteering and being with community events and fundraising especially if it benefited children. He enjoyed playing guitars when he was younger like his father did. He also inherited his passion for sports cars from his father and was a member of a couple of car clubs over the years. His latest obsession was spending time out on his back deck taking in God's beautiful sunsets.

He is preceded in death by sister, Ida Mae Barry.

He is survived by wife of 26 years, Kathryn Eileen Boyce; daughter, Kelly Lynn Boyce, Panama City Beach, Fla.; son, Joshua Michael Campbell, of Tellico Plans, Tenn.; grandchild Brianna Kallie Boyce; and brothers James and Marie Boyce, of Rome, N.Y., and John Barry, of Rigby, Idaho.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, in the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Long and military rights by the Marine Corps League.

Interment will follow at a later date at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Condolences can be made at www.loganfuneralhome.com. Logan Funeral Home & Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
