Viewing his work as his mission field, he always made it a point to share his faith with his customers and pray for them and with them. Steve was also an advisor at the Center of Hope in Weatherford.
The Canyon West Golf Club was a big part of Steve's life after he retired. He loved playing golf there and also served as a Marshall for several years. In addition, as a life-long Texas Rangers fan, Steve was finally able to see them win a World Series last year.
Steve was lovingly called Grandfather by his two granddaughters and their children. He was always his great grandchildren's favorite person at family gatherings.
