In Loving Memory of
Stephen Renard "Baby Boy" Brower
July 23, 1983 – June 9, 2025
Stephen Renard Brower, affectionately known as "Baby Boy," entered this world on July 23, 1983, in Asheboro, North Carolina, born to Gwendolyn Renee Brower and the late Ezell Albert Brower, Sr. From an early age, Stephen's father passed on to him a deep love for baseball-one that blossomed into a true passion. At just 12 years old, Stephen played on the All-Star Little League team that went on to become state champions, a moment he cherished for the rest of his life.
During his years at Eastern Randolph High School, Stephen was a standout athlete, participating in both football and wrestling. He also found joy in fitness and strength training-he was proud of the fact that he could lift more than most, and by the age of 18, he could bench press 300 lbs. and squat 800 lbs. His physical strength was matched only by the strength of his spirit.
Stephen graduated in the Class of 2001, and while his athleticism was impressive, it was his heart, charisma, and infectious smile that truly made him unforgettable. He had a way of making anyone feel like a lifelong friend-starting conversations with a simple "Hey man, you got a light?" and ending them with plans to meet up again. Stephen never met a stranger, and his warmth and laughter left a lasting mark on everyone he encountered.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved deeply and lived fully, and his presence will be missed beyond measure.
Stephen leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Michelle Brower; six loving children, Andrew (Angel), Stefany (Cam), Wes, Kaydance, Brian, and Kaylynn; and his precious granddaughter, Kamillia Person. He is also survived by his devoted mother, Gwendolyn Brower; his brother, EJ Brower Jr.; two sisters-in-law, Lynne Williams and Zoey Pugh; two nieces, Trinity Williams and Heavynn Williams-Brower; uncles Steve Garner and Henry Brown; aunts Shirley Bostic and Girlena McGee; and a host of extended family and friends who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
Stephen's love, laughter, and unforgettable spirit will forever be remembered. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure. He is loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
