Stephen Sabin Campbell

A New Haven resident, Mr. Steve Campbell, age 81, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2024 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. Steve was born June 3, 1943, in Louisville, Kentucky to Clarence Ralph and Virginia Louise Cochran Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Campbell.
Steve was a retired employee of the City of Colorado Springs, CO, where he worked in public relations and communications. He was a member of the first graduating class of Seneca High School in 1961. He was a master gardener, loved genealogy, was an environmental activist, and an Army veteran. He is survived by two sons, Casey Campbell of Westminster, CO, and Nick Campbell of Fort Collins, CO.
Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 12:00pm at Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown, Bro. Doug Simpson officiating. Interment will follow at Frankfort Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 10:00am until time of service. The Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home at 1475 New Shepherdsville Road is in charge of arrangements.
