"Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal"

Steve Carter the oldest of two siblings younger brother (Colby Carter), was born on August 27, 1947 to the Loving Parents of Wealthy and Steve Aurther Carter in Aurora, Il.

Steve confessed hope in Christ at an early age. He joined Main Baptisit Chuch where his family attended. Steve graduated from East Aurora High School in 1966. Growing up in Aurora in the late 40's and early 50's was special. Although Steve's immediate family was small, Steve had a host of cousin's from his large family of Uncle's and Aunt's and extended family members. They were part of the founding families of Aurora. His many cousin's were more like Brothers and Sisters. Being part of the Founding Families of Aurora had many advantages. Each year for over 75 years Steve had the privilige of attending a gala "Family Reunion". Until this day the traditional "Carter/Patterson Reunion" is still vibrant and the legacy continues.

Upon graduation from High School Steve began his career work at the National Metal Ware Company.

Steve joined the United States Navy in 1966. He then began his 23 year career in the U.S. Armed Forces and reached the rank of Staff Seargent. He ultimately landed on the Worlds largest Nuclear Powered Air Craft Carrier " The USS Enterprise". His Military Career did not end there. Steve joined the U.S. Naval Reserves (1970-1977). He then joined the California Air Nat'l Guard (1991-2000). Steve completed his service from 2000-2007 as a member of the U.S. Air Force Reserves. For all your service in the U. S. Armed Forces, Steve we salute You.

Steve loved traveling and as a member of the U.S. Navy his travels took him to many different ports of location. He was a world traveler by profession and by spirit.

Steve was reunited in Heaven with his Mother,Wealthy Carter, and his Father Steve A. Carter.

Steve leaves to cherish his memory: Brother...Colby Carter, His Daughter Janice his Son's Vincent and Vernell, grandchildren Edward, Andrew, Vincent Jr., Jaylyn, Mekaila, Shakyera, and Ya-Naye' and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dear Jesus, thank you for dying for me.

Because of your grace and love, I'm forgiven.

I can look forward to being with you forever.
