Stephen Edward Caspary, 91, of Houghton, Michigan, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2024, at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation. He was born on August 10, 1932, to the late Simon Caspary and Hazel Casey Caspary.
Stephen served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. While stationed in Alaska, he worked as a dental technician, contributing his skills and expertise to the service of his country. Stephen dedicated thirty years of his life to a career with Delta Airlines, starting in 1957 as an airplane mechanic. A man of faith, Stephen had attended Faith Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Carolyn Magill Caspary; his daughter, Michele Bunker; his son, Mark Caspary ; his two grandchildren, 3 sisters and their spouses, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
Stephen's memory will be cherished by all who knew him, and his legacy of service and dedication will be remembered fondly. May he rest in peace.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, April 8, 2024, at Albert G. Horton Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, Virginia with the Rev. Bryan Pease officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Stephen's name to the charity of one's choice. Twiford Funeral Homes, 405 E. Church Street, Elizabeth City, NC is assisting the Caspary Family. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.TwifordFH.com.
