Stephen P.H. Cheung, 89, of Stamford, passed away peacefully at Stamford Hospital, on February 3, 2026. Stephen was born in Hong Kong on July 22, 1936, to the late TinLee and Kitching Kwok Cheung.
Stephen came to America in 1960 as a student attending college at Brigham Young University. He later moved with his wife, Marita, to Stamford, CT where they embark on their respective careers. Stephen was a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT and worked as a microbiologist and lab director at Stamford hospital for over 30 years. Upon his retirement from Stamford Hospital, he went on to a career in real estate sales and management in New York City.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife Marita H.S. Lau Cheung and two sons Ronald and Robert.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Interment will be held privately.
