Stephen Crawford Chitwood "Moose" age 56 of Cedar Bluff, AL died Monday, December 22, 2025 at AM Floyd Cherokee Medical Center. Funeral services are Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 5 PM CT at Corner Stone Funeral Chapel with Pastor Frankie Carroll officiating. Family will receive friends from 11 am until service time.
Stephen was born March 30, 1969 in Fort Payne, AL to parents, Stephen Harrison and Glenda Blackwell Chitwood. He attended Sylvania High School and served in the Alabama Army National Guard. He had worked as a mechanic at Renfro Hosiery before retiring due to health issues.
Survivors include wife, Carolyn Nail, mother, Glenda Peters, children, Stephanie Ridner(Charles), Christopher Chitwood, Destiny Gallaway(Daniel), William Chitwood, Joseph Chitwood, grandchildren, Damien Ridner, Alyessa Ridner, Scott Gallaway, Brantley Baine, sister, Staci Ogle(Kevin Anderson), nephew, Timothy Ogle, chosen brothers, Tracy Kauffman, Darby Key and Tommy Todd. He was preceded in death by his father, and step-father, Jim Peters.
