Mr. Stephen Earl Cooper was born on January 13, 1957, to the late Alonzo Cooper and the late Louvenia James Cooper in Florence, South Carolina. He began his final journey home on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
Earl attended Florence County Public Schools System. He was a student of the last graduating class of McClenaghan High School in 1975. He was employed with Aluminum Ladder and later as a supervisor, with Kamlar Corporation in Florence, South Carolina.
Earl was predeceased by his parents, Alonzo and Louvenia James Cooper; his wife, Katherine W. Cooper; three brothers, Alonzo (Pete) Cooper, Wilson E. Cooper and Claude L. Cooper; three sisters, Betty J. Ashley, Nona Cooper and Valerie D. Cooper; one nephew, Shaun T. Ashley; and a special brother-in-law, Sammy L. Brown.
Those left to cherish his precious memories are his two children, a son, Stephen (Tysjay) Cooper and a daughter, Jada (Travis) Cooper-Hail; four grandchildren, Kamren Cooper, Noelle Cooper, Paris Cooper and Noah Cooper; a sister, Claudette Cooper Brown; a very special nephew, Michael Cooper; a very special niece, Sharon C. Mitchell; four sisterly family members, Sophia Davis, Ann Addison, Carrie McNeil and Betty C. Mitchell; one sister in law, Sara Cooper; three best friends, Bernard Hart, Calvin Evans and Raymond Williams; other family members and friends, too numerous to mention.
TO MY FAMILY… “This is Earl, I’m finally on my way home. This isn’t goodbye I will see you in the rapture.”
