.Stephen T. "Teddy" Deans, Jr., a lifelong resident was born in Venice on January 5, 1950 and passed away on January 10, 2026. He owned Venice Landclearing and served in the Army Reserves. Teddy loved his family, church and spending time on his ranch.

He leaves behind his wife, Cherie; his children, Stephen (Jennifer) Deans, III, James Clinton (Rachel) Deans, Donna Jean (JD) Preston, Christina (William) Wilke; a brother, Tim (Sandy) Deans; three sisters, Linda Schaper, Trudy (Donnie) Young and Pat Hill. Teddy also leaves behind his loving grandchildren, Stephen Deans, IV, Tommy Deans, Kalina Deans, Jessica (Enafael) Cruz, Amanda (Rudy) Manriquez, Emilie McCall; a great-granddaughter, LaiLeigh Grace and many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and extended families. He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen Deans, Sr., mother, Mary Deans and a brother, Walter Deans.

A viewing will be held at The Lakefront Church, 3100 Executive Drive in Venice on Saturday, January 17, 2026 from 9:00-10:30AM with the Celebration of Life Service to follow. A graveside service will be held at Venice Memorial Gardens following the service.

The family asks that you please wear something red to honor Steve.
