Stephen Craig Duncan, aged 74, passed away on January 20, 2026, at the Eleanor in Hyde Park, New York. Born on March 4, 1951, in Poughkeepsie, New York, he was the son of the late William and the late Marion VanNorstrand Duncan.

Stephen spent his entire life as a cherished member of the local community.

Stephen graduated from SUNY New Paltz and dedicated many years of service as the Union President of the APWU, a role in which he was highly respected and admired. His passion for life was evident in his love for fishing and playing pool, hobbies that he enjoyed immensely.

Stephen is survived by his loving family, including his two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen G. And Michele Duncan of Florham Park, NJ, and Scott and Lauren Duncan of Niskayuna, NY. He was a proud grandfather to Stella, Mia, Adeline, and Anna. His sister, Debbie Muellerleile, and his friend Georgette Martin.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, January 27,2026, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave., Poughkeepsie, New York 12603. A private Graveside Service for family only will take place at 11 am on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Calvary Cemetery, Lagrange Ave., Poughkeepsie, New York. The Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Stephen's legacy of leadership, friendship, and devotion to his family and community will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.
