Steve was a great friend to us. After meeting initially in 1975. We knew he would be a lifelong friend. Within minutes of Conversing I quickly realized we had a lot in common. He was in the Navy and I was in the Marine Corp. We both worked on the same model of helicopters. Which was the CH46D. He then explained to me how he worked on grain dryers, grain bins and all grain handling equipment. I Said, "Well, me to!" At that time Steve was working at Frey Construction and I was at Napoleon Lumber. For the next 48 years we leaned on each other for advice & problem solving in the grain industry. Steve continued to build solid relationships with many of our employees at Custom Agri Systems especially Brad & Gary Storch, John Shankster, Josh Schnitkey, Brad Brehm and Marcus Weimken. We can all remember how he traveled everywhere with his dog, Bullet. Every time we would see Steve, we knew Bullet was not far behind.
We pray his presence is always felt around those who loved him. Our deepest sympathy for the loss of your father. He was a very special friend to all of us. He will be deeply missed.
