Stephen L. Fereza

Stephen L. Fereza, 60, of Scenery Hill, died Sunday, February 15, 2026, in his home following a battle with cancer. He was born October 8, 1965, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Patricia Rogers Nichols (husband, Billy) of Deemston and Steven Joseph Fereza (wife, Gerogia) of Clarksville. He was a 1983 graduate of Bethlehem Center High School. He worked for Consol Energy and Bailey Mine. He was a faithful Christian. Stephen loved to spend time in his garage, working on old trucks, motorcycles and jeeps. He was a devoted father and husband. Family was the most important part of his life. On December 31, 1999, he married Kimberly Lee Spencer. Together they shared a life full of love and celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Kimberley Fereza of Scenery Hill, are their children: Spencer Luther Fereza (Alexis Pistilli) and Emily Joyce Fereza; brother, Richard Fereza (Amy) of Toledo, Ohio; sister, Mary DeAngelo (Paul) of Brownsville; several nieces and nephews; uncle, Paul Fereza of Hawaii and "uncle Mikey" Michael Fereza of Akron, Ohio, who was like a brother to Stephen. He also leaves behind his faithful dog, Jade. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, in the Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. with Pastor Brent Furlong officiating.
