Stephen Joseph Hebert, age 92, of Houma, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
Son of the late Alidore and Olivia Hebert, he was born on May 29, 1933, in Houma.
Stephen served his country in the United States Army. He was a longtime businessman within the real estate and oilfield industries.
He is survived by his son Thomas (Maria) Hebert and his daughter Stephanie (Jude) Guidry. He is also survived by his grandchildren Austin (Melanie) Hebert, Alex (Kaylei) Hebert, Ashley Hebert (fiancé Cameron Samaha), Nicholas (Heather) Hebert, and Mitchell (Brittany) Hebert; and 9 great-grandchildren (Avery, Emma, Brayden, Evie, Mackenzie, Colton, Brenna, Owen and Payton).
In addition to his parents, Stephen was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Helen Danos Hebert; his two sons, Mitchell and Mark Hebert; his grandson Troy Hebert; his brother Gilbert Hebert; and his sister Helen Martin.
A visitation in Stephen's honor will be held in Chauvin Funeral Home's Magnolia Chapel on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. We invite all who knew Stephen to join us in his memory. A private burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center (https://marybird.org/) and towards pediatric brain cancer research in memory of Liam Bascle (linksforeliam.org).
