“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28.
Stephen Bruce Isbell was born on September 8, 1987, and went to be with his Savior on February 9th, 2026. He is survived by a big, loving family, including his daughters, Hayden and Madison; his parents, Bruce and Charlotte; his siblings, Angela, Jon (Michal), Liz (Michael), and Adriana; his niece, Anamarie, and nephews, Andrew (Analise), Sam, Charlie, Will, James, Peter, and Henry; and his girlfriend, Emily Dunlap.
Stephen had a big heart and was full of life. He was an adoring father who loved his precious daughters more than words can describe. He was always so proud of them. He loved his family and his friends with tenacity and devotion. He had a wonderful smile and an infectious laugh. He loved sports, both playing and watching. In his youth, he enjoyed playing basketball, especially with his brother, Jon. He even later competed in CrossFit competitions. He loved the outdoors and especially hiking.
Everyone that met Stephen loved him. He was a great encourager and spent so much of his time supporting his friends and loved ones. He was always eager to help in any way he could. He will be very greatly missed, but Stephen was a believer in Jesus, so “we do not grieve like those who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.” 1 Thessalonians 4:13-14.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial contributions to college funds for his daughters, Hayden and Madison. You can find the link below.
