Robert Lee Cannon, age 76, passed away on February 10, 2026, at his residence in Somerville, Tennessee. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps and spent his career as a farmer, a way of life he valued deeply. In addition to his work, he enjoyed mechanics and gardening. 

Mr. Cannon was born to the late Willie Reece Cannon and Mary Alvie Thompson Cannon. He is survived by four sisters, Lillie Sprayberry, Sue Teague, Cathy Disbro, and Ellen Fraley; and three brothers, Bill Cannon, Raymond Cannon, and Cecil Cannon. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Evelyn Jones; and one brother, Lester Cannon. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville, Tennessee. Visitation will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., at Peebles Main Funeral Chapel in Somerville, Tennessee

The family requests that memorial contributions be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
