Stephen R. Kuhn, lifelong resident of Kosciusko County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne at the age of 75. He was born on April 30, 1949, the son of Max E. and Laverne Kuhn (Zorn).
Steve was a graduate of Mentone High School, class of 1967. After high school, Steve married Sally Schooley on August 11, 1968. They had 56 wonderful years together. Throughout his life, he dedicated himself to various careers, most notably as the owner of his sign business. More recently, he found fulfillment in driving for Expedited before his retirement.
Steve was often described as a gentle giant. His reserved nature hid a warm spirit that touched the lives of those around him. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, particularly enjoying watching tv, with a special fondness for game shows—his favorite being "Let's Make a Deal." Additionally, he had a unique hobby of collecting toothpick holders. Steve also loved listening to music of all kinds, especially Johnny Cash.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife, Sally Kuhn, and his sister, Pam Beery. He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family, who will carry his memory in their hearts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Laverne Kuhn and his brother, Terry Kuhn.
Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with Steve’s care. Visitation will be held at the funeral home, 2000 Sheridan St. Warsaw, IN on Thursday, November 21, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. At 1, Steve’s Life Celebration service will begin with Pastor Howard Immel officiating. Steve will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw immediately following the service.
