Predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Gloria Laird.
Survived by his loving wife, Florentina Laird. Daughter, Michelle Laird. Grandchildren, Janessa, Jaelynn. Great grandchildren, Antonio, Jeremiah.
Sisters, Sharon Reed and Patricia Laird. Many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, many dear friends.
Stephen was a proud US Marine Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a retiree of 35 years for the County of Monroe, Department of Public Works.
Avid fisherman and loved grilling outdoors. Also, making Aunt Annie's hot pickle recipe every August. He will be sadly missed by everyone that knew him.
No prior calling hours.
On Tuesday morning March 24, 2026, at 10am, friends may meet directly at Falls Cemetery (corner of Latona Rd. and W. Ridge Rd.) for his graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to Tunnel to Towers Foundation online at: https://t2t.org/ in memory of Stephen.
