Stephen Michael Le Carpentier passed away on March 5, 2026, at the age of 43, leaving behind a family and community who loved him deeply. He is the beloved son of Charles Le Carpentier and the late Elizabeth Le Carpentier, and the cherished grandson of the late Edward Leo Hymel, Sr. and Estelle (Verret) Hymel, and the late Margaret Mary (Reine) Le Carpentier and Louis Joseph Le Carpentier.
Stephen was a devoted father to his two children, Garrett Michael Le Carpentier (14) and Corinne Elise Le Carpentier (11), who were the center of his world. Stephen took great pride in his children and rarely missed an opportunity to support them at their school events, sporting activities, and band performances. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Jennifer Dowty Le Carpentier.
Stephen is lovingly remembered by his brother, Jeffrey Le Carpentier, and sister-in-law, Mindi Le Carpentier, as well as many cherished aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
He was a proud graduate of St. Mary Magdalen School, Archbishop Rummel High School, and Holy Cross College. Stephen dedicated his entire career to education as a school teacher for the Jefferson Parish School System, a profession that brought him great pride and purpose. He loved his work and cared deeply for the children he taught.
Stephen loved being surrounded by family and friends. A true New Orleanian at heart, he enjoyed attending Jazz Fest, Mardi Gras parades, crawfish boils, and cherished any opportunity to gather with the people he loved. He was often the first to offer help to anyone in need.
Above all, Stephen loved his children, his family, and his friends.
All are invited to attend services at Garden of Memories Funeral Home on Saturday, March 14, 2026, with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. and a service to follow at 12:00 p.m.
