Stephen Bella Lorencz

LORENCZ, Stephen Bella – of Birch Run, age 80, died Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Wellspring Frankenmuth Campus. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run, Michigan. Burial will follow at Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Stephen was born August 5, 1944 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Stephen and Betty (Schicker) Lorencz. He grew up in Montrose, Michigan and attended Montrose High School. Stephen proudly served his country in the US Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968. On May 26, 1978 he married Becky Lorencz in Saginaw, Michigan. Prior to his retirement in 2009, Stephen worked for Birch Run Public School as a Maintenance Man with 20 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing. He was a Golden Glove Boxer while serving in the Marines. However, his greatest joy in life was his family.
Surviving are: Wife of 46 years, Becky Lorencz; Children, Robbin Duby, Randy Duby, Sarina (Roger) Emmendorfer, Jillainie (Jim) Higgins, Tracy (Mike) Giesken; 19 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren and 2 on the way; Siblings, Richard Lorencz, Jim (Diane) Vroman, Judy Rockwood, Linda Lorencz, Nancy Vroman; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Daughter, Stephanie Manick; Siblings, Larry Lorencz, Robert Lorencz, Betty Vroman.
