Stephen E. Mahn, a resident of Germantown, MD, died on September 3, 2025, from cancer. Steve was born on December 13, 1961 in New York to Robert J. Mahn, Jr. and Carol Fink Mahn.
Steve graduated from Georgetown Prep and attended Villanova University. Steve worked in sales for Trimark Adams-Burch for 30 years.
Steve had a quick wit, unforgettable dimples and an unbelievable sense of direction. He was an accomplished cook who also enjoyed fishing, traveling, music, Halloween decorations, setting off fireworks, building and fixing things and Nationals baseball games. Steve loved working for Adams-Burch and the people he worked with, both co-workers and customers. Steve was nicknamed "The Source" by his fellow sales reps due to his product knowledge. Steve's love language was cooking and all who enjoyed the food he prepared could feel the love he put into every meal. He loved his twins Alex and John and sharing knowledge about his interests and hobbies with them. If you were on the receiving end of Steve's sense of humor, it was sure to result in a belly laugh.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Robert J. III, sister Karen Hughes and father-in-law Gary Jackson. Steve is survived by his wife Kelly, sons Alex and John, sisters Christine Harrison (Oliver Munday) of Hendersonville, NC and Suzanne Rambo (Steve) of Gaithersburg, MD, brothers Gregory (Michelle) of Boyds, MD and Michael (Bethany) of Waxhaw, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his mother-in-law Ann Jackson and sister-in-law Amanda Wallace (Matthew) all of Fishers, IN.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received during Steve's illness. A celebration of life and reception to follow will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Germantown, MD on Friday, September 19th from 1-4 PM.
