"Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle"
Stephen A. Mannetti, 65, of Waterbury, entered into the Gates of Heaven on Monday, November 7, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital from injuries sustained in an auto accident on November 4, 2022. He was the loving husband of Noreen (Flaherty) Mannetti.
Stephen was born in Waterbury on February 23, 1957, a son of the late Anthony R. Mannetti Jr. and the late Edna (Kelly) Mannetti. He was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School Class of 1975. Stephen earned an associate's degree in banking and finance from Post University and his BA of Science in accounting and finance from the Central Connecticut State University. Stephen worked for the State of Connecticut Department Social Services department for 35 years retiring in 2017. He was also a realtor for Mannetti Properties with his father, Anthony, and later for Showcase Reality.
Stephen was a very talented athlete, playing baseball throughout college and fast pitch softball well into his 50's. He successfully coached Sacred Heart football, SS. Peter and Paul girls' softball, Watertown Pop Warner Football, Overlook Softball and some soccer throughout his life. He was an avid golfer, playing every Saturday at the East Mountain Golf Course. He was a music enthusiast and often attended concerts. He was a loyal New York Yankee's and New York Giants fan. He enjoyed taking drives to his favorite state of New Hampshire with his wife and going on vacations with his family throughout New England and Ireland. Stephen was a member of the Waterbury Sportsman's Club, Hill Street Social Club, East Mountain Men's Golf Association, City of Waterbury Zoning Commission and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his wife, Noreen, of 39 years, he leaves; his children, Christina Macelis and her husband, Max, of Waterbury and Joseph Flaherty and his wife, Noreen, of County Kerry, Ireland; two loving granddaughters, Amy and Ciara Flaherty of Ireland and one granddaughter on the way; a brother, Anthony Mannetti, III of Oakville; four sisters, Donna Graham and her husband, Robert, of Thomaston, Linda Nelson of Waterbury, Gina Mannetti of Waterbury and Lisa Riggi and her husband, Robert, of Watertown; several nieces and nephews; and two grand dogs, Jet and Willow. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Lori Ann Mannetti.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 12, 2022, 10:00 a.m. at the Mary Mother of the Church Parish ~ SS. Peter & Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Road, Waterbury. Anyone is asked to meet directly at the Church. Burial will be private and at a later date at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held Friday, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury.

Noreen and Christina and family, I´m so sorry I didn´t make it to the Church and funeral home, I feel so bad I didn´t see it in the paper. Please again I´m so sorry for your loss, my heart breaks for you and your family. I love you all and will miss Steve. He was a great guy and fun to hang with. Again I hope and know you will find peace in the days ahead, it´s hard but you guys are strong. Noreen if you want to go out for a drink or coffee call me we will make a date.
