MILLBURY – Stephen E. Martin Sr., 64, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2023, in his home.
Stephen is survived by his son, Stephen E. Martin, Jr. of Sudbury, daughter Jennifer A. Martin of Fall River, his sister Donna Martin-Ellis and husband Kevin of Millbury, his brother James P. Martin and wife Jan of Hopedale. He has four grandchildren: Alexis, Mattheau, David, Dylan and great-granddaughter Alaiyah along with 2 nieces, 2 nephews and many beloved friends. He was predeceased by his father, Edward F. Martin and mother, Elizabeth D. (Wilson) Martin of Marlborough.
Stephen graduated from Assabet Valley Vocational High School in 1977 and joined the Massachusetts Army National Guard where he served for six years. He retired from the Marlborough Fire Department after 28 years of dedicated service in 2008. He lived in Millbury for the past 10 years and proudly drove the school bus for the Millbury School District where his kids adored “Bus Driver Steve”. He was a member of the Century Sportsman’s Club in Auburn for the last two years. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, traveling to Myrtle Beach, listening to music, and playing the “Drums”.
Family and Friends are invited to celebrate Stephen’s life by gathering for a time of visitation on Thursday, Oct. 5th from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Mulhane Home for Funerals Home, 45 N. Main Street in Millbury.
In lieu of flowers you can donate to the On-Site Academy in Westminster, MA at https://onsiteacademy.org/ This Academy provides training and treatment for First Responders and their families working on trauma and critical incident stress management and/or substance abuse.
