Stephen McDougal Obituary
He was born May 18, 1965, in Windham, CT the son of Everett and Eleanor (Rockwell) McDougal, and was raised in Caribou, Maine.
Steve enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved watching the Patriots, Red Sox, Black Bears, and Celtics. He had many jobs, but his most memorable job was his work with adults and children with mental illness. He went to Upward Bound, Job Corps, and did Summer Youth Rec. making children smile and have fun was his true passion. He had fond memories of doing activities with his nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and godson.
He is survived by his wife, Dianna (Miller) McDougal; brothers Larry McDougal, Terry and wife Mary McDougal, Edward "Ed" and wife Rebecca McDougal, and Richard McDougal; sisters Susan (McDougal) Lapointe and Todd Dery, Sherri (McDougal) and husband Jimmy Robertson. Steve is also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a godson.
He is predeceased by his brother Robert McDougal and a sister Donna (McDougal) Geer.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25th from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm at the Augusta Elks Club, 397 Civic Center Drive, Augusta.
Arrangements are under the direction and care of Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville. An online guestbook may be signed, condolences and memories shared at www.gallantfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Humane Society Waterville Area, 100 Webb Road, Waterville, Maine 04901.
