Stephen S. "Steve" Meals, age 71, of Tidioute, PA, died on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Warren General Hospital in Warren, PA. He was born March 12, 1953, in Butler, PA, son of Noelene K. (McSweeny) Meals of Clarion, PA and the late Charles Henry Meals.
Steve served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. In Tionesta, on March 27, 2006, he married Cindy (Bemis) Meals, who survives. He worked as a truck driver for Heenan Excavating and Trucking in Tidioute until retiring in 2009. Steve was a member of American Legion Post #334 in Tidioute. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Stephen S. Meals in Georgia. His daughter, Stacy Bastian in Pennsylvania. His stepson Jacob E. Allaman in Gainesville, FL. His stepdaughter, Cathy A. Allaman of Titusville, PA. Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Three brothers: Floyd Dean Meals and his wife Diana of Medina, OH; David E. Meals of Marienville, PA; and Randy R. Meals of Corsica, PA. Two sisters: Kimberly F. Stewart and her husband William of Paris, TN, and Joyce L. Schindley and her husband Raymond of DuBois, PA. Several Nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation. All services held will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home of Tionesta. Memorial contributions may be made to the Norman J. Wimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 389, Tionesta, PA 16353 to help offset funeral expenses.
