Stephen A. Penich

Stephen A. Penich, 38, of Carmichaels, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at his home. He was born January 27, 1985 in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of John E. and Patricia A. (Wallace) Penich. Stephen was a 2004 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School and attended California University of Pennsylvania. He played little league baseball and during high school, enjoyed playing football. Stephen was on the scout football team at California University. He worked as a chef for several restaurants in the Pittsburgh area. Stephen enjoyed fishing and most of all, cherished his family.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a daughter, Addison; five brothers, Jonathan M. Penich (Amy) of Uniontown, Pa., Daniel J. Penich and Jacob J. Penich, both at home; Zechariah T. Penich (Katie) of Morgantown, W. Va. and Samuel I. Penich, at home; two sisters, Sarah A. Smith and Mary E. Rice (Dennis), both of Carmichaels and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 P.M. on Wednesday in the Yoskovich Funeral Home, Carmichaels, Pa. where a blessing service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Rev. Thomas Lewandowski will officiate.
Interment will follow at Laurel Point Cemetery, Carmichaels.
