Stephen Proffitt Obituary
Stephen Wade Proffitt passed away on June 5th. He was a lifelong resident of Newport News. Left to cherish his memory are: The Love of His Life Channing Bryant and son Richard, His parents, Bill and Judy Proffitt, sister Paige Stephens (Mark) and his brother William. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 22nd from 6 to 8pm at Harbor Baptist Church in Hampton.

My heart breaks. Steve was the brother I never had. I met the Proffitt family as a neighbor and we became family. Bill, Judy, Paige, and Jay you are in my prayers during this difficult time. Jeff and I send our sincerely sympathy.
