Stephen Riddle Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Amos Carvelli Funeral Home on Jan. 26, 2026.
Stephen Ray "Steve" Riddle Jr., 54, of Lost Creek, West Virginia, passed away on January 22, 2026.

Born on August 29, 1971, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Steve lived a life marked by dedication to his family, pride in his work, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.

A graduate of South Harrison High School Steve went on to serve his country in the West Virginia Army National Guard from 1990 to 1996. In 2001, Steve founded Riddle Trucking Company, a business that became not only his livelihood but also a source of great pride.

Steve's greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved. Whether riding his Harley or heading into the woods for a hunting trip, he found peace and happiness in nature and family traditions. He cherished every moment spent with his wife Kim and the family they had built together.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Kimberly Meadows-Riddle; his son, Stephen Riddle III and wife Caley of West Milford; stepchildren, Makala Meadows and husband Connor of Fairmont, Caira Meadows of Clarksburg, and Coalton Butcher of Lost Creek; grandchildren, Paisley Riddle, Hudson Riddle, Sophia Meadows, and Roman Webber; as well as his brother, Jason Riddle and wife Alicia of Clarksburg; and stepfather, Robert McCoy of Clarksburg.

Steve was preceded in death by his mother, Regina Blanche Knotts McCloy; father, Stephen Ray Riddle Sr.; and sister, Tina Riddle.

Those who knew Steve will remember him for his sharp sense of humor, unwavering generosity, and deep love for his family. His presence brought laughter to many rooms and comfort to many hearts.

Steve was a great guy, knew him because of his dad and his brother and my husband and I enjoyed talking to him very much. Always seemed to be smiling. We both admired him for his dedication to his work, trucking is a tough job and it takes a special person to dedicate the time and hard work it takes to stay in the business. I miss his dad and will miss Steve too. Patty Johnson
