He was born on March 22, 1943 in Hobbs, NM. He was a member at Holly Hill Church of Christ in Frankfort, KY; graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a Bachelor Degree in Business and later obtained his Doctorate in Business. He was a Business Teacher for over 40 years at Oklahoma Christian University and also taught in York, Nebraska. Mr. Small coached baseball, basketball, softball and tennis at Oklahoma Christian University. He was also a Future Business Leaders of America Advisor for 22 years. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcat Fan and enjoyed spending his free time attending UK sporting events.
Stephen is survived by his son, Jeremiah (Heather) Steele, of Lawrenceburg; five grandchildren, Jaydan (Karli Bevins) Steele, of Frankfort; Emerie (Ronald Ellison) Steele, Addisyn (Jayden Cherry) Steele, Raydan Steele and Makenzie Steele, all of Lawrenceburg; special friend, Boro Rudric, of Frankfort and Jase Campbell, of MS; and a host of past students, players, and co-workers.
Cremation was chosen and no services have been scheduled at this time. Noon & Son Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with final care.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Kentucky FBLA, York College Baseball Team, or Holly Hill Church of Christ College Scholarship Fund.

This patient man taught me to type at Chowchilla High in 1969. He was kind and funny and I hear his voice when I make a typing error. RIP

Steve Small was my Typing 1 teacher my freshman year of high school in 70-71 at Chowchilla High School in Chowchilla California. He was also the advisor for my FBLA chapter for during my high school years. My best memories were of his booming voice through the big windows in the typing room," fff space, jjj space..."
He was an incredible teacher, Christian, coach and human. May you rest in the arms of Jesus Mr. Small!

Although Chowchilla Union Highschool is not mentioned here in Mr Small´s obituary, his typing class is a fun memory for me. I can still hear his loud, thunderous, accented voice, calling out `A,A,A space; J, J, J space, A space, J space, A space J!´ My friends and I had many laughs at his expense. His voice & personality unforgettable. I never heard a bad thing said of his character. Chowchilla is a small town, but we remember Mr Small & I send my condolences to his family & hope this small memory of mine blesses you. Mr. Small was a big presence; both in stature & character.

My dad was his biggest fan. He coached dad at York and he sent me and my siblings birthday cards EVERY YEAR! He was a treasure of a man. He will be missed!
