Stephen Robert Snow, age 37, of Bridgewater died peacefully in his sleep at home after a long courageous battle from an anoxic brain injury when he was 18 years old that left him 100% disabled.
Although Stephen was disabled and non-verbal after his accident he continued to draw people to him with his affectionate smile and beautiful blue eyes. Over the past 19 years Stephen was blessed with the support and love of his family and many doctors, nurses and home health care aids. Stephen touched many hearts and most became part of the family.
Stephen's family extends their gratitude to special and loving long time home care aid Linda Egan of Plymouth and special Nurse Theresa Toppan of Bridgewater.
Stephen was born in Quincy and grew up in Bridgewater. Stephen was an energetic child and teenager who brough lots of love and joy to his parents, little brother and family with his love and warm smile. Stephen loved to dine-out at Restaurants and collected many hats and sneakers and was always dressed in style. In his earlier years Stephen played baseball, football and was a star soccer player who scored multiple goals in almost every game he played in. He loved to skateboard around town and he lit up every room he was in. His loving smile, kindness, and gentle attitude will be missed by all who knew him.
Stephen is the loving and devoted son of John R. Snow of Bridgewater and the late Karen (Flemmi) Snow. Big brother of John J. Snow and his wife Morgan of Raynham and Uncle of Thomas, Stephen, and John Jr. Grandson of Stephen Flemmi of Boston and the late Jeannette (McLaughlin) Flemmi. Grandson to the late Robert R. Snow and Leah E. (Tornberg) Snow. Nephew of "Best Auntie" Jeannett Flemmi Benedetti of Walpole and her husband the late Albert J. Benedetti. Nephew of Michael Woodford and Deborah (Snow) Woodford of Holbrook. Nephew of Nancy (Snow) Sullivan and her husband the late Francis (Butch) Sullivan of Attleboro. Also survived by many loving cousins, relatives and friends.
All are cordially invited to the Chapman Funerals and Cremations, 98 Bedford St. BRIDGEWATER on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 for a visitation period from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. I used to coach Stephen in soccer and he was such a good little player. He unfortunately was late a lot and I used to be sweating it out waiting to see him running over the hill in time for kick off. He had a great zest for life and was a very funny kid. I am so sorry for John and Karen. He was one of the good ones. God Bless and RIP! Maureen Goodell
