Sumter, SC…. Stephen Leroy Steeb, age 78, beloved husband of 51 years to the late Karen Ingram Steeb, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Indianapolis, IN, he was the son of the late Albert Steeb and Beverly McManama Steeb. Stephen proudly served four years in the United States Air Force, eventually dedicating the remainder of his career to the United States Postal Service. Stephen was a long-standing member of the Hoschton Church of God of Prophecy and had recently joined Bethesda Church of God. He was an ordained minister in the Church of God of Prophecy. Stephen was an avid reader and loved history. He could often be found visiting different battlefields during his travels. He loved all animals, especially his own. Stephen loved to laugh and always wanted to be the center of attention. He loved his family and spending time with them. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

He is survived by; one son, Brian Eric Steeb and wife Heather of Jefferson, GA; two daughters, Christa Anglin of Sumter, SC, and Sonya Steeb of Sumter, SC; three brothers, Larry Steeb and wife Joy of IN, Greg Steeb and wife Vicki of IN, and Darryl Steeb and wife Annette of IN; one sister, Marge Steeb of IN; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Kyle, Matthew, PJ and Hannah; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at 3:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Al Sims officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 2:00 – 3:00 pm at Bullock Funeral Home.

The family would like to encourage everyone to wear bright colors to the service.
