Stephen Howard Strange

Stephen Howard Strange, 69, of Napoleon, Ohio, went home to the Lord, on Sunday, July 13, 2025. He was born on December 20, 1955, to the late Samuel and Helen (Mullany) Strange in Detroit, Michigan. On December 18, 1982, he married Kathleen Kruse and spent a loving 42 years together.
He was a faithful member of St Paul's Lutheran Church, Napoleon Township, and was the Sunday school superintendent for 3 years. He worked at Campbell Soup Company for 40 years in many lines of work. He loved his family dearly and cherished every moment with his grandchildren. In his earlier years, he coached baseball for Napoleon Little League, while also helping his son Nate become a better player in his various sports. He became an Assistant Scout Master as well, as he was very supportive of the Boy Scouts and would tend to get involved in various events. Stephen would often go out to lunch with friends at least once a week to catch up and reminisce.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; son, Nate (Mackenzie) Strange; grandchildren, Hunter, Madison, Paisyn, and Sadie Strange; siblings, Susan Davis, Denise Kody, Deborah Dunn; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Diane Warner.
Friends and family will be received at Rodenberger-Gray Funeral Home on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 4pm until 8pm. Services will be held for Stephen on Friday, at 11am, with an hour of visitation prior to services. Interment will take place privately at a later date.
