It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen "Steve" Tremp from Mission Viejo, CA on December 30, 2025. Steve was a treasured man known for his positivity, humor, kindness, generosity, helpfulness, creativity and gentleness. Born in Marshall, MI on March 22, 1962, Steve made a meaningful impact on countless lives throughout his sixty-three years.

Steve, often fondly called Stephen, devoted his life to the service of others, showing remarkable dedication as a volunteer at the Mercy Warehouse Food Bank. He and his wife hosted several foreign exchange students over the years. He taught others the importance of initiative when working toward accomplishing a goal, teaching his children how to be friends with others and serving those in need.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife, Deena Tremp, and their two beloved daughters, Kate and Brooke Tremp. A wonderful husband and dedicated father, his passing leaves a void that can never be filled. Steve also leaves behind his mother, Joyce Tremp; his brother, Scott Tremp (Sandy); and his sisters, Debbie Sack (Bob) and Theresa Dayton (Kris). He is predeceased by his son, Michael Tremp, father, Duane Tremp and nephew, Micah Dayton.

As a creative soul, Steve authored several fictional books, leaving a legacy that will continue to inspire and entertain future generations. To encourage other writers and give them ideas, he had an engaging blogspot. He was pleased and honored to be a member of Mensa in California, part of American Mensa’s Region 9 (Far West). His intelligence and gentle spirit, paired with his ability to find humor in even the bleakest of situations, made him a beacon of light in any room. With strong character, he showed great perseverance and endurance during his last year fighting cancer.

Stephen “Steve” Tremp will be greatly missed by his family, friends, dogs, and all those whose lives were touched by his kindness. As we cherish his memory and celebrate his life, we remember what he always taught us: to be positive, to be kind, and to be strong.
